Buddha Bar
Buddha Bar, one of London's chicest bar and restaurants had much of its interior designed and manufactured in Sheffield.

Located near the River Thames under Waterloo Bridge, Buddha Bar promised an exciting mix of contemporary food and stylish interiors, which Birley has helped manufacture and install as part of the £370,000 project

From the interpretation of the architect’s designs, the use of specialist woods and stone, and the accommodation of the bar’s characteristic ‘Prayer Wheels’, Birley led the way making the bespoke project work by providing over 50% of front of house including the many design features of the reception, bar and dining areas. Uniquely, with the bar located under Waterloo Bridge, the building had to be waterproof meaning all the fixtures and fittings Birley installed had to be glued using specialist adhesives to ensure the waterproof integrity of the building was not in danger of being compromised.

The result was a riot of colour and style - not to forget a 3m Buddha in the centre of the dining area.
