This exciting new concept taking from the Japanese model is a first in the European market. These 3m square self contained sleeping pods house everything the traveller needs for a rest at the airport from a bed to internet enabled plasma TV.
As part of the process Birley Manufacturing supply the joinery inserts for the pod - these comprise wall and ceiling panels, bathroom floors and the oak veneered technowall, a 3m x 2.1m high unit split into three with wardrobe, chair storage and WiFi internet enabled plasma TV.
Working with the main contractor we deliver ready made items to their site for incorporation into the finished pod which is delivered complete to site. To date 32 pods have been delivered to Heathrow and a further 56 pods for Schipol Amsterdam, with future work at other major international airports pending.
