This prestigious hotel development is in the fashionable SW6 area of London and is situated on the same site as the Chelsea Football Club. As part of the multimillion pound hotel refurbishment the main contractor came to Birley Manufacturing to utilise their long established skills and expertise in the leisure area. We worked with them to achieve the tight deadline within the allotted 4 week window.
As part of this refurbishment Birley was responsible for the manufacture and installation of new reception areas, bistro restaurant seating, concierge and bar areas. These were all produced in solid American walnut. In the Copthorne Hotel at top of escalators a free standing curved solid lattice work walnut screen with integrated plasma TV's was manufactured and installed. This required significant structural engineering input to ensure it met Health & Safety guideline. Working with their architects & graphic designers a delicate looking but sturdy and stunning visual display was the end result capable of withstanding any potential problems.
The Copthorne bar seating areas were fully refurbished from the seat pads and tables through to the final finishing scatter cushions. The existing reception desk area was reclad on site insitu as was the bar. New reception desks were manufactured and installed in the Millennium existing reception desk and bar.
The entire project was completed in 4 weeks and the result was a finished product worthy of the deluxe, impeccable facilities and standards of service these hotels offer international business and leisure travellers.
